Our Leadership Team
Hugo Marques
Hugo Marques, our CEO and Co-founder of AI That Matters, brings over two decades of experience in technology to his current role. He is presently employed at Microsoft, where he leads a dedicated team comprising Data Scientists, Architects, and Customer Success specialists. This team focuses exclusively on supporting nonprofit organizations in making a significant impact on the planet. Hugo is currently pursuing an AI program at Columbia Engineering and holds both a postgraduate degree and a Master's from MIT and UCI Irvine, respectively.
Matteo Parenti
Matteo Parenti serves as the Executive Vice President and Co-Founder at our company, and is currently an Account Executive in the Games Technology division at Amazon AWS. He specializes in driving innovation and creating new revenue streams, while optimizing operational efficiency and reducing costs. With over 20 years of experience in the IT and telecommunications industry, Matteo brings a diverse skill set, including expertise in cloud technology, sales, account management, business development, and data center operations. He holds an MBA from Berkeley University and a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications from the University of Sao Paulo.
James Wamburi
James Wamburi is our Global Director of Talents at AI That Matters and works as a Cloud Solution Architect and Customer Success Manager at Microsoft Philanthropies - Tech for Social Impact. In this role, he assists nonprofit organizations in Africa with cloud adoption, investment optimization, and workload transformation. With over ten years in the IT sector and a strong foundation in network administration, security, and project management, James is deeply skilled in information management and business analysis.
